There are moments in life that ask us to let go of what we thought our future would look like and gently begin imagining something new.

For many women, separation and divorce can bring emotional, legal, financial and practical challenges, often while continuing to care for and support their children. It can feel overwhelming, isolating and, at times, difficult to know where to turn.

Fourmi was born from my own experience navigating separation and divorce after a long-term relationship while raising my two children. Along the way, I discovered that while there are services available to support women in crisis, there are far fewer spaces dedicated to helping women rebuild afterwards. I also realised that so many women are trying to do this alone.

My hope is that Fourmi offers something different.

A warm, nurturing and holistic space where women can pause, take a breath, connect with others who truly understand, and access practical information and guidance across the many facets of separation and divorce.

A space where mothers feel supported not only in rebuilding their own confidence and sense of self, but also in helping their children feel safe, secure and supported along the way.

 A space where women feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are - whether they arrive feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, relieved or optimistic -and leave feeling more connected, capable and hopeful about what lies ahead. 

Because women are incredibly strong on their own, but often even stronger when supported by community.

 Our vision is to create a community where women navigating separation and divorce feel informed, supported and empowered to move forward with confidence, clarity and hope.

We envision Fourmi becoming a place of connection and belonging, where women can step away from the demands of everyday life, gain practical knowledge, share experiences, and discover that while this chapter may not have been part of the plan, it can still lead to a meaningful and fulfilling future.

Above all, we hope women leave Fourmi feeling reassured that they do not need to navigate this journey alone, and that with the right support, information and community, rebuilding can become an opportunity for growth, healing and new beginnings.

The name Fourmi means ant in French. 

Ants are resilient, resourceful and remarkably strong. They can carry loads far greater than their own weight and work together to achieve extraordinary things.

We believe women are much the same.

We provide a supportive, non-clinical space where women can connect with others who understand their experiences, access trusted information, and begin rebuilding with greater confidence, clarity and hope.

Our programs are designed to be supportive, restorative and empowering. While Fourmi is not a counselling or therapy service, it aims to provide women with practical knowledge, meaningful connection and the confidence to move forward with greater clarity and hope.
